Anouck Champsaur joined Sofinnova Partners in 2021. She focuses on industrial biotechnology investments in Europe and North America, which encompass chemicals, materials, agriculture, and food. Prior to joining Sofinnova, she co-founded and was the CTO of XL Batteries, a New York startup developing organic redox flow batteries for grid scale energy storage. Anouck holds a PhD in chemistry from Columbia University, where she specialized in inorganic molecular clusters and solid-state materials with tunable electronic properties and authored several articles in peer-reviewed journals. She previously was a research fellow at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory studying bio-inspired polymers and holds a BS in chemistry from UC Berkeley.
